What is Johnny Knoxville doing now?
View this post on Instagram
The Jackass franchise wouldn’t exist without the fearless Johnny Knoxville. At 50 years old, we wonder how he can still handle all of the wild and crazy stunts he performs!
“My pain tolerance is probably not that different from other people,” Johnny shared in an interview with Indiewire. “It’s my give-a-damn tolerance that’s so low. I know we need footage and I’m not very in touch with my body, so it works very well together. The producer inside me always overrides the performer side.”
After 2 decades of stunts and injuries for the big and small screen, Johnny Knoxville may stay behind the camera for future Jackass films––if there is another Jackass film in the works.
“We could make another one, or we could not,” he said to Indiewire in February 2022. “…I would like to stay behind the camera as much as possible.”
Outside of dreaming up new stunts to shock audiences, Johnny lives in Los Angeles with his wife Naomi and their two kids named Rocko and Arlo. He has an adult daughter named Madison from his first marriage, too. In a May 2021 GQ profile, we get a glimpse of the Johnny beyond Jackass: he likes to surf, he’s protective of his children, he’s an avid gift giver, and he’s surprisingly quite kind and gentle.

What is Steve-O doing now?
View this post on Instagram
Did you know that before Jackass aired on MTV, Steve-O graduated from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College as well as worked as a clown on a cruise ship?! After losing his job, Steve-O flew to California to film a stunt for Jackass show creator Jeff Tremaine. The rest was history!
Life for Steve-O is vastly different from what we saw all over TMZ in the early 2000’s. After battling substance abuse for years, the Jackass gang staged an intervention in 2008, and Steve-O has been sober ever since.
His life now contrasts greatly with the Steve-O we all fell for in the early years. “Absolutely night and day, 2 completely different people,” Steve-O says in his February 2022 GQ feature.
Now, Steve-O hosts a podcast, sells merch, and has a YouTube channel with over 6 million subscribers. Before the release of Jackass Forever, he toured the country for his Bucket List show, which is a combination of filmed stunt work and stand-up comedy. Outside of work, Steve-O meditates and reads daily, sticking to a strict schedule that balances self-care, recovery, work, press, and other tasks.
Steve-O is also engaged to Lux Wright. They share a handful of rescue animals including cats, dogs, and goats. While they have no plans to have children, they want to get a larger property and own a lot more animals.
So, what was it like for Steve-O to film Jackass Forever? “Filming Jackass at this age is much the same as it ever was, with 2 big differences: Our bones break significantly easier. And it takes less to knock us completely unconscious. Plus longer to wake up,” said Steve-O in a conversation with GQ published in May 2021.
“I thought going into Jackass 4, after everything we’ve been through, and everything we’ve built, all it takes is one stupid f*cking accident to just erase it. Just turn it all into a negative. To be like, ‘Oh, these f*cking dumb assholes. What did you f*cking expect?’” he told GQ. “But we went ahead and f*cking did it.”
Yes, they did!
What is Bam Margera doing now?
View this post on Instagram
Oh, Bam Margera. The skateboarder, stuntman, and all-around TV personality is unforgettable thanks to his prominent participation in the Jackass franchise, plus his own spin-off series titled Viva La Bam.
In his spin-off show, Bam was often drinking or drunk on camera. Following the death of longtime friend and fellow Jackass cast member Ryan Dunn in 2011, Bam’s substance abuse got worse. He was in and out of rehab and struggled with sobriety over the years.
You won’t see Bam in Jackass Forever as he was fired during production. As part of his contract, Johnny Knoxville mandated rehab for Bam, which Bam failed to follow through with, unfortunately.
“We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs,” Johnny said in a May 2021 conversation with GQ. “We tried to push that along. I think that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Bam has his own collection of skateboards and apparel and often shares photos of his son Phoenix and wife Nikki on Instagram. In September 2021, TMZ reported that Bam’s wife filed for custody of their 3-year-old son, but she did not file a petition for divorce.
We wish the best for Bam, and just like Johnny said, hope he can get the help he needs!

Ehren McGhehey

Best known as Danger Ehren, Ehren McGhehey is no stranger to danger.
The Jackass cast member is always pulling off insane “don’t try this at home stunts,” including one seen in Jackass Forever. Here’s what Ehren said in a February 2022 interview with ScreenRant:
“In Jackass Forever, the doctor said I probably won’t be able to have children because I exploded my testicle, and then the blood was going into where the semen is. And once that happens, it kills the semen forever and you’ll never have a child. But I proved him wrong because I had a child while filming Jackass Forever.”

Despite medical miracles, don’t try any of these stunts at home.
